info
Thank you for taking the time to consider our agency. We are sure you have researched the steps in becoming a parent through third party reproductive assistance. We understand that pursuing surrogacy is often times the last option toward your goal of having a child. With all the information out there, it is easy to become overwhelmed and exhausted. By now you probably know what surrogacy is and what IVF entails; you may have been through a few cycles yourself. We are not going to minimize what you already have been through nor the hard work you have put into beginning this journey. So please sit back, relax and let us explain exactly what our agency will do for you so you can focus on getting your nursery ready.

2. Medical evaluation with Idaho Center for Reproductive Medicine ("ICRM")
3. Psychological evaluation
4. Gestational Carrier Selection
5. Contract Agreement Process
6. Embryo Transfer Cycle
7. Pregnancy
8. Birth Preparation
9. Bring Baby Home
1. Initial Consultation with Three Sisters Surrogacy
Our initial meeting with you is intended to determine your particular desires and to create a gestational carrier plan that best fits your circumstances. We will answer any questions you have and take you step by step through the process.
2. Medical Evaluation
We partner with ICRM to ease the process of medical screenings and procedures. Our exclusive alignment allows the best possible personal care for you and your potential carrier. Please go to Our Clinic page to for more information on ICRM and their staff. We comply with all guidelines set by the American Society for Reproductive Medicine and the Food and Drug Administration.
3. Psychological Evaluation
As Intended Parents you will be required to meet with a mental health professional. Your session presents the opportunity to make sure that you completely understand all the circumstances associated with having a child via a gestational carrier. If you do not already have a mental health professional, we would be happy to refer you to our psychologist.
4. Gestational Carrier Selection
We will offer you profiles of pre-screened gestational carrier candidates. All of our potential carriers have been medically indicated as potential carriers, had a background check, and have been given the green light to assist you with your goal. All of our carriers are required to have thier own medical insurance. After reviewing profiles, we will arrange a meeting between you, the carrier, and her partner (if applicable). If the parties agree to work together, the journey begins.
5. Contract Agreement Process
Our attorney specializing in third party reproductive law will send you a questionnaire to determine the best contract for you and your surrogate. You are also welcome to use your own attorney; however, the legal contract must be signed by all parties before starting the embryo transfer cycle.
6. Embryo Transfer Cycle
We work very closely with you, Idaho Center for Reproductive Medicine, the nursing staff, and your Surrogate to ensure that everyone remains well informed during each step of the process. We will attend appointments with your Surrogate during the embryo transfer cycle, if you are unable to attend, and report the results of each visit to you. We will be with you and your Surrogate during embryo transfer, and will help in any way necessary to ensure a serene and relaxed time for your Surrogate during her required period of bed rest. The average period of physician ordered bed rest is 2-3 days immediately following the embryo transfer.
7. Pregnancy
Three Sisters Surrogacy will continue providing support to you and your surrogate throughout the entire pregnancy. Your Surrogate is providing a priceless gift and deserves to feel loved and supported. We will ensure that she feels she is important (because indeed she is!). We offer monthly support group to surrogates living in the area and quarterly support groups for their partner (if applicable). And we are ALWAYS available by telephone, text or email. Provided your Surrogate is in our general area, we will attend OB visits with her if desired or when you are unable to attend. If your Surrogate lives outside our area, we will try to attend significant appointments upon your (or their) request. We will act as a liaison between you and your Surrogate. We will do all that we can to remove any aspect from your relationship that may be sensitive or difficult to discuss, thereby allowing you to focus on the well being of your Surrogate and your baby, and to enjoy your surrogacy journey.
8. Birth Preparation
The attorney will file the appropriate parental establishment documents with the courts prior to or after the birth of your baby, depending on governing state laws. We will ensure that these documents are received by the birthing hospital in a timely manner, and that all relevant parties at the hospital are aware of your situation.
We will also assist you in creating a birth plan for your baby that meets the needs and desires of both you and your Surrogate, creating an experience of cooperation and contentment for everyone involved. We will facilitate the opportunity for you to attend parenting classes as well as other classes and services offered to our Intended Parents.
We will be there for the birth of your baby, as support for you and your Surrogate, and to answer any questions the hospital staff may have regarding surrogate protocol and parental establishment. We want this time for you to be solely about enjoying and bonding with your new baby!
9. Bring Baby Home
Where your surrogate gives birth to your baby will determine the legal issues around your adoption of, and the Surrogate's termination of rights to, your baby. If your child is born in the state of Idaho (and 95% of them will be), your Surrogate will be required to "terminate her parental rights." These hearings are typically heard on Thursdays, and yes, the child and the parents must be present. However, if you wish to do the adoption here in the state of Idaho, it can take up to two weeks to process the paperwork through the courts and get a termination/adoption hearing date. Our Third Party Reproductive Attorney will be in contact with you months prior to the birth to assess the termination/adoption and refer you to an attorney in your state if you desire to do the adoption in your home state.
"Making a decision to have a child is momentous...It is to decide forever to have your heart go walking around outside your body.
--Elizabeth Stone
Whether your pregnancy was meticulously planned, medically coaxed, or happened by surprise, one thing is certain -- your life will never be the same.
